Dr Monica Fiandeiro is a registered chiropractor with the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (AHPCSA), a member of the Chiropractic Association of South Africa (CASA), and registered with the Board of Health Care Funders (BHF).

She earned her Master’s Degree in Chiropractic from the University of Johannesburg in 2006. South Africa’s chiropractic programme is academically rigorous and internationally respected, providing a strong foundation in both theory and clinical practice.

Soon after qualifying, Dr Fiandeiro accepted a unique opportunity to work in Windhoek, Namibia. Originally intended as an eight-month position, the experience extended into a two-and-a-half-year journey that proved invaluable. The diverse and often complex cases she encountered offered a practical and enriching “real-world” education that greatly expanded her clinical insight and adaptability.

In 2011, Dr Fiandeiro returned to South Africa and established her own private practice, where she continues to provide high-quality, patient-focused chiropractic care. She has a special interest in the management and relief of tension headaches, and is also experienced in treating a range of sports-related and general musculoskeletal conditions,

Outside of her professional life, Monica lives in Johannesburg with her three dogs and enjoys an active, outdoor lifestyle. She has completed endurance events such as the NamaquaQuest and the Marathon des Sables’ Morocco Trek in 2024, and continues to explore South Africa’s natural beauty with adventures like hiking to Tugela Falls in the Drakensberg. Her love for the outdoors is a reflection of her balanced and holistic approach to health and wellbeing.”

Helen started her working career as a Medical Researcher with the South African Institute for Medical Research, in the Biochemistry Department.

Her career path continued to span across many other sectors once she left the medical field.  Venturing into the Quality Control Department of the OK Bazaars, long term employment as school secretary with St. Teresa’s Mercy School and then onto administration at a construction company, has allowed Helen to develop a very well rounded body of experience in both her professional and personal life.

All of this whilst having to care for and raise her 2 daughters, Helen has proven to be a remarkable lady.

Shortly after being retrenched from her administration work in construction, Helen applied for and was offered the position of Office Administrator for Dr Monica Fiandeiro.  In essence, her world went full circle from Medical Research along diverse paths back to the Medical Field where she is most at home. “And home it most surely is!”, says Helen.  “I have really enjoyed working for Dr Monica who is so kind and caring, really going the extra mile for her patients and me too!”.

Since joining the practice in 2017, her attention to system development, accounts, detailed administration and general life experience has made her an invaluable asset to our clinic

As Head Administrator, she is the welcoming personality you will hear from on the phone and deal with over email, all whilst she takes care of the front office (and behind the scenes admin), keeping the clinic running better than any well-oiled machine.

Helen’s life outside of work is largely taken up by voluntary work with The South African Lipizzaner’s of Kyalami.  If there is any spare time left over – Helen has always enjoyed reading a wildly eclectic range of genres and also, when time permits, embroidery.
